The stunning red-brick mansion features a wrap-around porch, white columns, and manicured grounds, as well as our 40' x 60' White Wedding Tent just off to the side of the Estate resulting in a classically elegant ambiance perfect for any celebration. Historic Woodlawn Estate is situated on a 900-acre farm with views of the Kanawha River, rolling hills, and roaming cattle, making it an idyllic countryside escape. The original brick house was built in 1867 and fully restored in 2019, resulting in a beautiful historic home that features every modern amenity needed to host your event. The house sleeps 10 and includes a glamorous dressing suite for the wedding party to use for getting ready and relaxing.

You can host a memorable outdoor ceremony on the sprawling lawn or under our recently constructed 40' x 60' aluminum framed wedding tent. Our front lawn features a paved aisle and a beautiful trellis arch, providing a stunning backdrop for exchanging your vows. After, enjoy a cocktail on the picturesque patio before heading to your reception space. The Historic Woodlawn Estate team strives to help you bring your wedding vision to life. The house features a full kitchen for your caterers' use, and venue rentals include 48 hours of access to all the spaces on the property, including the lawns, wedding tent, patio, house, and indoor and outdoor bar areas. No matter which package you choose your rental includes up to 300 of our white resin wedding chairs as well as 42 - 6' rectangle tables.

The Platinum
Package

$8,500

Our Platinum Package includes a two-night stay

Use of The Historic Woodlawn Estate from Friday at 9AM to Sunday at 2PM 

The Platinum Package includes:

  • On-site Venue Management Coordinator

  • Use of up (42) Rectangle 6' tables

  • Use of up to (300) White Resin Wedding Chairs

  • Begin setup on Friday at 9AM

  • Access to property for Friday evening rehearsal

  • 2 nights stay (Friday & Saturday) at the Estate (sleeps 10)

The Add-Ons

Alcohol on Premises.....  $500 + tax  

This non-refundable fee is required if alcohol is going to be present in any manner as part of your event.

​​​Vintage Woodlawn Voicemail.....   $150 + tax

Add on our antique-themed audio voicemail guest book for only $150! The process is simple and when you listen back to the messages, you will have lots of mems and laughs for years to come! This is how it works: You will record a short greeting that your guests will hear when they pickup the phone. They will then leave a message after the beep, and then hang up. These messages are stored on a micro-sd card from which I will take and email them to you within 48-hours so you can even listen and enjoy on your honeymoon! â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Requirements for Rental Agreement

​

EVENT INSURANCE 

Event insurance is required for each rental. Although, we do carry liability insurance for The Historic Woodlawn Estate, this event insurance protects the client and their guests in case of injury or excess damage to the property. Event insurance typically costs on average $75 to $150, depending on the number of guests and if you serve alcohol. Most insurance agencies will offer this coverage, and there are online options. (If you need help with securing the event insurance, we are happy to assist you).

PAYMENT METHOD 

Method of payment is cash, check, or Card (addtl. 2.9% processing fee). Initial deposit of $500.00 is required to hold your venue date on the calendar. Full payment is due 30 days prior to your scheduled venue date. Proof of event insurance required two weeks prior to your venue date.

SECURITY DEPOSIT 

A refundable damage/excessive cleanup deposit is required in the amount of $500.00 and is due 30 days before the event. If there are no damages, this will be refunded to you within 30 days after your event

​

CATERERS

Other venues require that you use their caterer. We want you to be able to select your own licensed caterer and vendors and make your own choices. 

​

OTHER EVENTS 

When not in use for weddings, we are happy to provide pricing and services for other special occasions including corporate events, graduation celebrations, bridal showers, baby showers and reunions. However, these events cannot be scheduled more than 60 days in advance.
